The Exit Strategy

Mark Davis was the envy of almost every man who laid eyes on his gorgeous, albeit domineering fiancée, April, but that wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Whether it came to the ladies, getting a job, or even dealing with his closest friends, Mark would say anything or become whoever he needed to be, to get what he wanted, and used his charm, wit, and seemingly innocuous ways to lure people into a sense of false security. Mark was the genuinely nicest, most considerate, selfish, sarcastic, opinionated, egotist you would ever want to meet. As the wedding drew closer, Mark began to have second thoughts about getting married. Those closest to him, including his mother, constantly tried to tell him that he wasn’t ready to settle down, least of all with April. What Mark truly wanted was to remain engaged forever, with April being committed to a monogamous relationship 100% of the time. And him being in the same relationship about 60% of the time, with the other 40% being his designated time to be single. What Mark didn’t know, was that April was having doubts of her own, and after they broke up over an argument, things in his life began to fall apart... but not enough for him to change his ways. Mark slowly begins to grasp the fact that the world and everything in it does not revolve around him...But will he learn his lesson before it’s too late?
